Thanks to Nate for bringing two new faces to the Cascade (Ada and Ashley), associates at the Levi Strauss corporate headquarters in San Francisco. Through the company’s generous volunteer program, employees can donate their time to a local non-profit. We’re honored they chose us.
Given the heavy winds and storms that preceded their visit, there was much to be done including sweeping, weeding and pruning. The plant overgrowth (and weeds) were abundant.
We were joined by Barbara who, as always, was instrumental in eyeing those weeds that needed plucking.
Dang was also there and worked with a city crew member to remove an old, worn-out hose. It’s been replaced with a new one, made possible by a donation from a Cleveland Heights neighbor, Tina Heldman.
