Shopping Spree, Tagging Spree

On Sunday, Barbara and I rambled the numerous aisles at Home Depot for some much-needed tools. Thank goodness for the helpful staff there or we would still be wandering the store looking for items and our way out.

We returned with gloves, weeders, broom, trash bags and two nozzles that attach to the water hoses. Those nozzles may very well save us from the state fine of $500 for excess watering.

We also picked up some steel wool which Barbara used to rejuvenate six clippers and loppers, rusty and sticky from work.

Funding for these necessities came from monies that were received from anonymous donors. About half of the money was spent so we still have some in the bank. Let Barbara know if we are in need of anything else.

On a less bright note, more tagging was discovered at the Cascade this week. Barbara magically erased it with her anti-graffiti potion. She used all of it up, so the next option might be keeping a few cans of Kelly-Moore paint on hand for the next Tug of War with the taggers.

This Friday, I’ll be joined by friends and fellow coworkers from Walmart.com. We will tackle the center cascade area with the potted agapanthus, prune the happy-go-lucky ivy and shape the redwood suckers into something neat and pleasing.

And on the horizon – August (yes, August already!) workday. Where has the summer gone?
