unintended consequences

Both sides of lower plaza began to bloom 6 months ago with evidence  of new, off-paved paths in the dirt. These not only are not part of the landscape design, but they destroyed what little landscaping had been achieved. New tracks might have been fun for those who made them. It was easy to see that they offered a slick new way to ski down to the asphalt floor of lower plaza. Logs placed to hold the earth and make a design were kicked about.

Volunteers who clean and maintain the stairs and level areas are hoping that some talented user, or volunteer with experience in lettering will offer to create a sign asking that everyone stay on the paved paths. Wandering in the unpaved areas can kill flowers and bulbs waiting to be flowers.

This project needs someone with lettering skills. Get in touch with volunteers@clevelandcascade.org.
